On October 19, 2024, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a truly heartwarming crabbing tour at Catch N Cook World. What made this day so special wasn’t just the adventure itself, but the beautiful story behind it. Two devoted daughters brought their 79-year-old mother on a Mother’s Day celebration that none of us will forget.
The smiles were contagious from the start, but it was this incredible woman’s story that really made the day magical. As we walked to the perfect spot for crabbing, she shared memories from her childhood—when she used to catch crabs in the exact same place, decades ago! Her daughter, Emily, had been planning this tour for six months, hoping to give her mum the best memory of 2024’s Mother’s Day. And although the official holiday had already passed, this was the perfect Mother’s Day experience.
What struck us all wasn’t just the adventure of catching crabs, but the bond between this family—the laughter, joy, and love that filled the air. There’s no way this vibrant, glowing woman looks 79! Her energy and excitement reminded us of why we do what we do. Her smile lit up the beach, and it was a reminder of how meaningful shared experiences can be.
